Cannabis: The Medicine worth Legalizing

Marijuana is legal for medical purposes in more than half of the United States. Currently, 28 states permit its use as treatment, while more and more are legalizing it for recreational use, as well. Although notably behind schedule, the State of California opened its adult use market on New Year’s Day. It was also the very first state to give medical patients access to cannabis more than 20 years ago.

Despite decades of false propaganda, the world is finally waking up to the fact that marijuana is among the most medicinally valuable plants in existence today, and there are many, many reasons why this plant is worth legalizing, not all of them medical. There are hundreds, if not thousands, if not more, medical applications for weed and scientists are daily revealing its miraculous health benefits.

Although some cities in California do not intend to allow recreational pot shops to operate in their jurisdiction, legitimate patients can legally order medical marijuana delivery in California without trouble. Many clinical studies prove that the cannabinoids in cannabis, particularly cannabidiol, or CBD, and tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, effectively treat pain and a long list of other illnesses.

Despite the federal illegality of pot making it difficult for researchers to study marijuana, scientists are doing it. The largest study ever conducted on cannabis analyzed more than 10,000 earlier studies. It found marijuana a highly effective painkiller, and an ideal treatment for many other health problems. Denying patients access to this plant could well be a crime against humanity.

Studies clearly show the positive effects of cannabis on reducing muscle spasms associated with multiple sclerosis, quelling the nausea so common during chemotherapy, treating arthritis, inflammation, anxiety, fibromyalgia, stress, post-traumatic stress disorder, and much, much more. It is completely safe to use, unlike the addictive drugs forced on patients by Big Pharma and government.

Patients would suffer far fewer side effects if they replaced their prescription pills and other dangerous pharmaceutical drugs with cannabis. Thousands are doing it already after seeing and feeling the results of cannabinoid treatment. Currently, an overwhelming opioid epidemic has the United States firmly in its grip, but statistics show weed is lowering incidences of both addiction and opioid-related deaths.

The benefits of legalizing marijuana are both real and essential to the health and wellbeing of millions of Americans, a huge percentage of which are stuck in a never-ending, life-threatening cycle of swallowing vast quantities of prescription drugs. Fortunately, medical cannabis delivery in California is available to anyone with a doctor’s letter of recommendation, and it will arrive in 45 minutes or less.
